Mass in B flat major - the "Theresienmesse"
St Thomas's Church, Stricklandgate, Kendal
Here are some comments from members of the instrumentalists:
From Linda and Brian Walker:
There's no better way to see in the New Year (or celebrate Easter or whatever excuse we can find for doing more of the same). Thank you so much for making it possible - and to everyone for making it such a pleasure! We're looking forward to the next "round" (but just wonder how we are going to go on when there are no Haydn Masses left...)
From Pam Redman:
I'd just like to echo Linda and Brian's sentiments. I have really enjoyed doing all these masses of masses...! Thank you also for the seasonal gift...it will go down a treat in our household!
From John Hiley:
Ian et al. What a pleasure it was to play with you all...it is quite the best way to bring in the New Year. Thank you so much. And special thanks to Ian (J) and the singers, without whom...etc.
From Doug Dawson:
.....And a big thank you from me too. The cutting of the cake is planned for this evening! It's a treat for me to play with seasoned professionals!
And from chorus member Sue Simpson:
Thank you for organising tonight's splendid choir event. I really enjoyed it. Lovely music and a great venue. please pass on my kindest regards and a big Thank you for all his efforts to Ian. What an opportunity and a great way to see in the New Year.
